Pennsylvania Pure

The past several months I have been traveling around the country on business but my art observation skills have been on overdrive. When I returned home I tried painting from memory and was surprised to see how quickly the images developed on canvas. Working mostly with a pallet knife, and from memory I feel I have bridged a gap from my representational style to my goal of a more impressionistic feel to my work. I have found this such an exciting way to paint that, moving foreword, I would not want to paint any other way. Of course having 35 plus years experience painting landscapes helps to make the paintings convincing. All the new works are painted in the fore mentioned manner with many more to come. Enjoy!
