UTOPIA Steven J. White

I am often asked, by artists and none artists , what is the best way to start a painting? There is really no best way, but starting with an under painting will allow you to see the painting as a whole. Another advantage is the right color can enhance the top colors, especially when some of the under painting shows through. You can see how I used a red/ yellow under painting. The red is a compliment to the many hues of green and the small amount that shows through makes the colors pop.
Find your spot and dream.
